While students enjoy their summer break, crews at Oak Hills are making steady progress on the new classroom addition, covered play area, and library upgrade.
Workers have poured the concrete slabs and are setting the stem wall for the new classrooms next to the playground. These classrooms, scheduled for completion in December 2025, will replace the portable units the school used to expand capacity.
The removal of the portable units is currently underway. Crews have demolished the units that cannot be sold to make way for those that can be sold and removed intact. Three of the units will be removed this summer, while the remaining portables will be taken away once the classroom addition is complete.
Construction teams recently broke ground on the new covered play area. They’ll install the foundation soon, and the project is on track for completion this summer.
The library upgrade began as soon as school let out. The redesigned space will feature a more efficient layout to better serve both staff and students, and it will be ready for the 2025–2026 school year.
